Exceptionally attentive and helpful service, from everyone I spoke with, especially Clayton. I posted earlier, but I have to review again. We are moving, so dates for moving our stuff are tight. We wanted to reserve our spot a few months out so we would know it would be available. Other self-storage areas in Nanaimo were vague about dates, or would not reserve. Clayton, on behalf of mini-mall storage, has really gone the extra mile. He offered us a promotional rate, which allowed us to reserve and start storing early. When it turned out that we needed more space than originally anticipated, he immediately found us a new spot. The security at Mini Mall is excellent, and is activated through a phone app. Clayton walked me through the registration process. When I was loading my stuff into my unit, Clayton helped me measure spaces to make sure bigger things would fit. I have reviewed hotels and restaurants, but I did not think I would find myself reviewing a self-storage place. But this facility is so superior: clean, secure and convenient, and Clayton's assistance at ever point made our move go so much easier.

I was able to rent a unit online in minutes and then got a phone call from Clayton, (who’s name I read in reviews here, and can confirm he is great) he confirmed my rental and gave me instructions to get the app for access to the site on my phone. I have a small unit and can drive up to the door closest to it. There are entry points to inside at each end and one in the middle for easy access. They also keep a dolly at the door to make it easy to transport your items from your car to your storage unit. (If it is an indoor unit) The property is very clean and the overall ease to rent and to access the units and great costumer service are all top notch and I would definitely recommend.

A 5×5 is about the size of a walk in closet. While it’s small enough to easily manage household clutter, seasonal decor, and boxes, it’s also great for appliances, small furniture, and odd shapes like camping gear or sports equipment. Think of it like a walk-in closet that isn’t attached to your bedroom.
To rent a storage unit with Mini Mall Storage, you’ll need a valid form of government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or provincial ID.
We do not allow tenants to store stolen or illegal goods in our storage units. Additionally, we disallow flammable or hazardous items, combustible items or liquids, plants, perishable goods, or animals. For additional and more specific information about what you cannot store, please contact us.
Drive-up storage units allow tenants to drive up to, load, and unload their storage unit. This is especially useful for transporting large items. Drive-up storage units are tall, convenient, and located on the ground floor so that you don’t have to navigate stairs or elevators.
Absolutely! It’s important to us that your belongings are protected. Therefore, we require all tenants to hold a valid insurance policy. Get covered with your own insurance plan and provide proof of coverage with your policy number, coverage overview, start date, and expiry date.
